The day is here! Arts Alive will take place today at McGregor Hall in downtown Henderson. Our students will have pieces of art being displayed from 4:00 untill 7:00 PM and starting at 7:00 PM several of our students will performing at the talent show. This is a great opportunity to witness the great things happening in our schools. You can't miss this chance! Tickets will be on sale at the venue $5.00 each. It will be a great night! Come and join us!

The Vance County Schools Family Resource Center, located in our Administrative Services Center, is hosting a "Science Experiment" event from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. Parents and students can come at anytime during those hours and enjoy experiment time led by Shannon Bullock, a science teacher at Clarke Elementary School! See the flyer below!
The Vance County Board of Education will conduct its monthly meeting one week early in April due to the school system's spring break. The board's meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 3, in the school system's Administrative Services Center.
Plan to Attend Arts Alive! Talent Showcase on March 25!
The Arts Alive! talent showcase for Vance County Schools is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, at McGregor Hall on Breckenridge Street in downtown Henderson. The show will feature almost 100 performers who are students in our schools. Student art work also will be on display from 4 to 7 p.m. at McGregor Hall. Admission to the art work display is free. Tickets for the showcase are $5 each and will be on sale at McGregor Hall beginning at 3 p.m. on March 25.
Applications for the 2017-2018 school year for enrollment in the STEM Early High School are now available and are due by March 30. Current Vance County Schools students who want to apply need to turn in their applications to their counselors by March 29. Others should submit their applications to the school system's Administrative Services Center or the STEM Early High School.
Parents of students who are eligible to attend pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes for the 2017-2018 school year should register their children now at the elementary school in their area.
