• The Vance County School District is a strong advocate for the arts and continues to provide our students with a strong arts based foundation for their education.  Music and art are provided at the elementary level, with one of our schools being an A+ School focused on arts integration, along with increased opportunities at the middle and high school levels, including art, band, chorus and theater. For 2023-24, VCS is extending our reach into the media arts as our Audio and Video Production Studios are fully operational and we are offering opportunities for music production, podcasting, and more.

Our Arts Alive Showcase in the spring highlights the visual artwork of students across our district and features performances by some of the most talented students in our district.  Follow our arts Twitter @ArtsVCS and search the hashtag #ArtsinVCS within that site, to get a glimpse of the opportunities that await our students.  For more specific information about Arts Alive, connect to our Arts Alive website (goes live early in the school year and includes links to our video installments) and The VCS Arts Alive Podcast (follow on Spotify).  There are links to both of these on the Arts Alive page in this section.

Arts Alive 2024 will be held at McGregor Hall Performing Arts Center on March 16, 2024.
