    Graduation Events for Class of 2018

     

    The graduation event for Early College High School will be held on May 24, at 6 p.m. in the Civic Center at Vance-Granville Community College.

     

    The graduation events for the Class of 2018 for our other high schools will be held at McGregor Hall on Breckenridge Street in downtown Henderson.  
    The commencement ceremonies will be as follows:
    AdVance Academy at 6 p.m. on June 8
    Southern Vance at 8 a.m. on June 9
    Northern Vance at 12 p.m. on June 9

     

    For the events, each graduate will be issued tickets for family members to attend. All of the commencement ceremonies will be live streamed through our school system's website.

    Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten registration for 2018-2019 is continuing! Please contact the elementary school in your area for registration information. Applications for pre-kindergarten services can be accessed by clicking on one of the links below.

  • Branch's Art Chosen for Display in Raleigh

    The amazing art talents of Nia Branch, a fifth-grade student at Clarke Elementary School, are being recognized with her sunflower painting selected to represent Vance County Schools in a display of student artwork from across the state at the N.C. Department of Public Instruction in Raleigh.

  • "Student Spotlight" Winners Honored at Banquet

    A total of 17 Vance County Schools students, who everyday display good character and compassion for others and who are committed to making the most of their educational opportunities, were honored during the evening of May 21 at the "Student Spotlight" banquet held at the Henderson Country Club.

  • District Honors Top 2018 Graduates

    Vance County Schools hosted the annual “Honoring Academic Success” banquet for the top graduating seniors in the Class of 2018 during the evening of Wednesday, May 16, at McGregor Hall in downtown Henderson.

  • Meet Principal Travis Taylor

    Come to the school on August 10 and meet our new principal, Travis Taylor. Our "Tea with Taylor" sessions will provide opportunities for everyone to get to know our school's new leader as we get ready to start the new school year.
