Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Jones

Greetings to my Bulldog family,

My name is Ms. Jones and I am a native of Henderson, NC. I attended elementary school at the ORIGINAL, Clarke Street Elementary School, middle school at Henderson Middle School, and high school at Southern Vance High School. I am a proud graduate of Vance County Schools and decided to come back and teach in my community.

I attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I received my Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. I later went on to study at Grand Canyon University where I received a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading with an Emphasis on  Elementary Education. Education always has me itching to know more so I decided to attend Concordia University where I received a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.

I am entering my 8th year of teaching. I have taught kindergarten for four years, first grade for one year, and fourth grade for two years. Teaching has its good days and bad days like any other profession, but I honestly can say that I cannot see myself doing anything else.

I have a thirteen-year-old son who takes up a lot of my free time. He enjoys playing baseball so I am usually at the baseball field on the weekends. He is a eighth grade student at Henderson Collegiate.
