Dr. Lisa Webster-Caroon, NBCT, Ed.D
Dr. Webster-Caroon is the AIG Coordinator for Vance County Schools.
I was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and moved to Moyock, North Carolina in 3rd grade, where I grew up 40 minutes from Nags Head. I married my husband Phillip in 2017. I have a step-son, Shane and a granddaughter, Silvia. I have one sister, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 8 great nieces, 8 great nephews, 1 great great niece, and another great great niece or nephew on the way.
I got my BS in Elementary Education from Elizabeth City State University. I then moved to Durham, NC where I taught 3rd grade for 3 years. I moved from Durham to Stovall in 2002, where I started teaching a New Hope Elementary in 3rd grade for 3 more years. During which I recieved my M. Ed in Curriculum and Instruction- American Intercontinental University and my AIG certification. I made the move from regular classroom teacher to AIG Specialist in 2006, when I changed to Zeb Vance. While at Zeb Vance, I worked with kindergarten through fifth grade AIG and Nurture students. I also recieved my National Boards Certification in 2008 and in 2015 I received my Ed. D in Exceptional Children from NorthCentral University. In 2016, I moved up from elementary to middle school, where I worked at HMS and Eaton Johnson with AIG students. With the combining of the middle schools in 2017-18, I split my time working with AIG students at VCMS and STEM Early High School. The next year I was solely at VCMS working with math teachers and AIG students. In August 2020, I took over the position of AIG Coordinator for Vance County Schools. I am currently working going to App State University working on my Instructional Technology Facilitators Licensure.
I love using technology with my students. I love seeing their eyes light up in excitement over successes.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, crosstitching, spending time with my family and friends, camping, and spoiling my grandbaby Silvia Rae (the cutie in the picture).
