My name is Tara Abbott Norwood.  I am married to an awesome guy I call Kevin, and we have a daughter whom we adore named Charli.  Aycock is the school I attended as a child.  Yes! Right here at Aycock!  I began teaching in 1994 after graduating from Vance Senior High in 1990 and East Carolina University in 1994.  I have taught first grade every year with the exception of one.  First Grade is where my heart is as I can see so much academic growth as well as the level of independence change.  I love getting able to get up every morning and come to a job that I love and can put my heart into!
