Licensure

Anyone pursuing a North Carolina teaching license must hold a bachelor’s degree and complete a state-approved teacher preparation program in North Carolina. Additionally, there are required examinations and a background check that must be submitted before applying for a teaching license.

Vance County Schools has attempted to put as much information as possible regarding Licensure in this section of our website to provide direction and assist with questions. However, if you are unable to find what you need, please make contact with our Assistant Human Resources Director, Shelly Watson.
