Ana Davila
My name is Ana Davila and I am proud to be an ESL teacher at Vance
County Schools. I am from Barranquilla, Colombia. I received a
Bachelor’s degree in Preschool education from Universidad del
Atlantico. I learned English as a second language back in the 90’s in
Austin, TX. This is my second year as an ESL teacher here in North
Carolina. I’ve been an English teacher for over 26 years now during
which I have taught in all levels, from preschool to University
undergraduate students.
I’m really passionate about teaching the young. As an ESL teacher I
help them to overcome their difficulties and reach higher goals, that’s
truly fulfilling. Remote learning has become a challenge to conquer
everyday. Every delivered class is an accomplishment. I feel thankful
for the opportunity to improve my teaching experience daily.
Personally, I have been married for 21 years and we have two great
kids, 15 and 13, currently attending Vance County Schools. They enjoy
the experience here as well.
