Hello, Families! 

My name is Dr. C'monee' Wilkins, and I am the Principal here at Clarke Elementary School. This is my ninth year in education with Vance County. I have enjoyed teaching 6th-8th grade English at Eaton Johnson Middle School (former) and Vance County Middle School. I also have served as an Instructional Coach (MCL) at Zeb Vance Elementary. Last year, I served as assistant principal at Clarke. I am honored to be the principal at Clarke for this academic year.  

I am originally from Elizabeth City, North Carolina. I have a Bachelor's in Political Science from Elizabeth City State University (Viking Pride x3!). In addition, I have my Masters in Public Administration with concentrations in Educational Policy and Non-Profits from North Carolina Central University. I have also earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Fayetteville State University.  

As principal, I am committed to student success, instructional innovation, and community engagement, aligning seamlessly with the district's mission and values. I am committed to working with our families as we strive to achieve our motto, "EVERY CHILD, EVERY CHANCE, EVERY DAY," here at Clarke.

I am excited about the amazing things we will accomplish together here at Clarke this school year!
