    Information about Peachjar for Parents

Vance County Schools delivers school information and approved flyers from community organizations electronically.

These school-approved eflyers are emailed directly to you. Additionally, you can view eflyers by clicking the Peachjar button on your school’s website homepage.

This “green” initiative saves our schools tons of paper and reduces copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff and volunteers.

If we have your email address on file, then no action is required on your part. If your child has moved to a new school in the district, you will receive eflyers from the new school. If you have not provided your email address, please do so to avoid missing important information.

To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add “school@peachjar.com” to your email contacts. When you receive your first eflyer be sure to click “always display images.”

This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents are well informed about school programs, activities and events.

Information for Vendors for Distribution of Eflyers

Vance County Schools cooperates with approved community partners by posting eflyers online and distributing them electronically through our service provider, Peachjar. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery.

To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to all parents and posted online. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.

    • Visit www.peachjar.com
    • Register as an Enrichment/Community Org. (account type).
    • Upload your flyer for approval.

Your flyer will be automatically submitted to the district office. District staff will review the material and approve or deny based on the standards below. Peachjar charges a fee for this service that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school.

Vance County Schools will review the requested distribution of each electronic flyer on an individual basis. In most cases, school system officials will not approve distribution of electronic flyers for a service that seeks a fee from students and their families. Requests for distribution of eflyers from youth organizations and local businesses that have traditionally supported our schools and students will usually be approved. These organizations include, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Henderson-Vance Recreation and Parks Department, the Henderson Family YMCA, The Skateeum, Carolina Lanes, Adventure Island and Midnight Blue Martial Arts.

Solicitations by private businesses are not allowed in our schools.
