Travis Taylor is the principal of the Vance County Early High School.
Mr. Taylor became the principal of this award-winning school in July of 2018.
He joined Vance County Schools in July of 2017 as the principal of the former Eaton-Johnson Middle School. Mr. Taylor has a wealth of experience as an educational leader at the elementary, middle and high school levels. He received state recognition for his outstanding leadership as a high school principal in Forsyth County prior to coming to Vance County.
Mr. Taylor is committed to continuing the success at our Early College High School. He wants all students, parents and staff members to join him in his commitment to maintaining the high academic standards at the school.
For the 2017-2018 school year, Vance County Early College High School for a third consecutive year received recognition as an "A Plus" school in North Carolina, making it one of the best high schools in the state. In the summer of 2018, the internationally respected magazine U.S. News & World Report recognized the school as a Bronze Medal school in its rankings of schools across the United States.
Mr. Taylor and everyone associated with our Early College High School are proud of the school's achievements and will continue to work hard every day to expand on its successes.
