My name is Mary Landis and I teach 4th grade math at Zeb Vance.  I have my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.  I began my teaching career in January 2005 in Alexandria, VA as a Title I Math Teacher and moved to NC in January 2006.  I have been teaching at Zeb Vance since 2006 and love it. Since being at Zeb, I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade and this year I have the priveledge of looping up with my kiddos from last year to teach 4th.  I am excited for this new adventure.  In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, swimming, crafting and playing with our two kittens Barra and Leo. 

Hi, my name is Marilyn Faines.  I am married and have been with my husband for 23 years now.  We have two sons which are, 37 and 22 years old.  I have been here at Zeb Vance for 13 years as an Instructional Assistant in first grade and now fourth grade.  Before Zeb Vance, I was an IA at L.B. Yancey for 15 years teaching in kindergarten and exceptional childrens.  I also work part time at Bojangles in Oxford a few days a week.  When I am not working I like to read, cook, clean and of course do some shopping.
