Ms. Colleen Tyburski

My name is Colleen Tyburski.  I am teaching Fourth Grade Language Arts and Social Studies at Zeb Vance this year.  I grew up in Western Pennsylvania and graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.  18 years ago, I moved to North Carolina to teach here at Zeb Vance.  I have been part of the Zeb Vance Community ever since.
I am married and have a son. In my free time, I like to bake, read, sew, do craft projects, and spend time with my family.  I love teaching Reading and Social Studies!  I especially like when I am able to combine the two and read about Social Studies, History, and new places.   I am excited to be teaching students about North Carolina this year!

Ms. Janice Campbell Harris

My name is Janice Sylestene Laraine Campbell Harris. Originally from New Jersey where I worked for UPS for 8 years, now a resident of North Carolina. I have been married for 19 years to the love of my life George Harris III. I have three wonderful sons Darius, Na'jee, and George IV and I am a proud grandmother to Prince Jaycen Campbell. I have been working in Vance County Schools for the past 19 years thus giving me the opportunity to touch the lives of students in grades k-2 as well as given the opportunity to work with children with exceptional needs for 4 years. I am currently finishing up my BS in Elementary Education and English through Grand Canyon University. I have patience and a strong passion for teaching students who are disadvantaged and/or struggling learners. Believing wholeheartedly that children should not be made to learn by the way we teach, but in the manner a child can learn; we must always be conscience that the child we educate today can and will be our future leaders of tomorrow. During my free time I enjoy sewing, cooking, praise dancing, singing, and gardening.

When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this; you haven't. (Thomas Edison)
