My name is Mrs LaVonda Williams. I am married to Frank, we have 3 kids Trinity, Noah, & Luke. I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. My kids are heavily into sports so you will more than likely catch me running out of school to catch a game. I especially enjoy the challenge of a great escape room. I am a graduate of Mount Olive College. I have been teaching with Vance county schools 12 years. I have taught Pre-k and Kindergarten. I was chosen to be Teacher of the Year in 2013. I was also selected to participate in the Teacher Executive training program. Throughout my career, I have served as a mentor, a tutor, a lead Pre-k Teacher, and currently a testing coordinator. I began my teaching career with the focus that all kids are willing and able to learn and that I had to learn how to teach them. I truly believe that child are people that have feelings, opinions, and questions just like adults, so they should be heard, listened to , and taught how to appropriately express their ideas, and opinions , and not made to be silenced. Teaching is my passion!
