Ms. Bonita Williams

I am the AIG Specialist here at Clarke Elementary School.  I have been in Vance County Schools since August 1998. 
I was a Computer Teacher at Pinkston, worked as a 2nd Grade Teacher and 4th Grade Lead Teacher.  In 2005, I went to Clarke Street School and worked at as a Curriculum Instructor and Acting Assistant Principal.  Later, I worked as a Reading Intervention Specialist and Media Specialist.  At the new school, Clarke Elementary, I worked as a 2nd Grade Teacher and a Reading Coach. Now, I am the AIG Teacher at Clarke.I was born in Franklinton, NC to James and Lizzie M. Mangrum.  They had 11 children, ten girls and 1 boy.    
 
I went to NC A&T State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Reading and Journalism.  Later went to University of Phoenix where I received my Master degree and Principal's License. I am certified as Middle Grades Language Arts Teacher, Elementary Education, (K-6) Teacher, Principal (K-12) License and Academically Gifted (AIG) K-12.  I was married for 33 years to Newman Williams.  We had three children, Priscilla, Newman Jr. and Bradley Williams.  I am a widow and proud to be called Grandma.
