Hi, I am Tameka Yancey, the Pre-K Teacher at Clarke well known for being almost the same size as her students. I have been working in Pre-K since the year of 2004. I started out as a Teacher Assistant in Pre-K at Carver Elementary School and while working as an assistant I pursued my BS Degree in Early Childhood Education through a special one night a week program at Mount Olive College-RTP. Upon graduation from Mount Olive College I became a Pre-K teacher at Clark St. Elementary, where I have been teaching since the year of 2007. When Clark St. moved to it’s new location and became Clarke Elementary I remained part of the Clark St./Clarke Family. Well, Clarke Elementary being such a wonderful place to work and having a great team to work with I pursued and obtained my Masters of Elementary Ed from Grand Canyon University in the year of 2010. I enjoy working in Pre-K and when school is not in session you may find me spending the day with my lovely daughter or working at Food Lion.
