Our Mission

  • The mission of the New Hope Elementary School faculty is to teach for learning and to provide an environment where children enjoy learning.  It is our aim to provide a safe and quality learning environment which fosters self-motivated, life-long learners who will become productive citizens and future leaders.

  • Weekly Update: September 13, 2021

    Hello New Hope Wildcat Family. The early release day is Wednesday, September 15. Dismissal is at 12 noon. Please make sure transportation arrangements for your scholar has been made if they are car riders. Our instructional day begins at 8:00 a.m. Thank you for making every effort to have your child at school on time and ready to learn. We are making every effort to keep your child safe at school as we focus on social distancing, wearing masks, and hand washing. Please talk with your child as well and send them to school with a mask or face covering. Beginning of year assessments have begun and will continue with I- Ready and M-class. The students should bring their devices with chargers to school daily. As always thank you for your support. Continue to stay safe and have a great week.

  • VCS Celebrates the Graduation of 240 Students

    Vance County Schools is proud to announce that 240 seniors have received their high school diploma during our four graduation ceremonies.  Vance County High School graduated the morning of May 25th in the Viper Gymnasium and Vance County Early College High School graduated later that evening at the Vance-Granville Community College Civic Center. Vance Virtual Village (V3) Academy and AdVance Academy graduated on June 10th in the Wayne Adcock Auditorium. Students, staff and guests gathered to celebrate their accomplishments.

  • Vance County Schools: Leadership Changes for 2022-2023

    When students head back to class for the 2022-2023 school year, there will be several new faces welcoming them within the schools across Vance County Schools!  Dr. Cindy Bennett shared, “We are excited to provide opportunities for staff to demonstrate their leadership and overall knowledge. I look forward to great things from our new team members and our district will continue to support each of them in their new roles.” Vance County Schools is excited to announce the following new leadership changes

  • AdVance Academy Celebrates the Class of 2022

    AdVance Academy concluded our final graduation ceremony with 42 students receiving their diplomas. The in-person ceremony took place in the Wayne Adcock Auditorium located at the Center for Innovation on Friday, June 10th at 11:00am. Students were presented their diplomas by Principal Cyrus Waters and Superintendent Dr. Cindy Bennett. The ceremony was live streamed on the VCS website and aired live on WIZS.

  • Vance Virtual Village Academy (V3A) Celebrates the Class of 2022

    On Friday, June 10th, at 9:00 am, 29 of Vance Virtual Village Academy students received their diplomas. The in-person ceremony took place in the Wayne Adcock Auditorium located at the Center for Innovation. Students were presented their diplomas by Principal Dr. Jessica Perry and Superintendent Dr. Cindy Bennett. The ceremony was live streamed on the VCS website and aired live on WIZS.

  • Vance County Schools Honors Partnerships

    On Thursday, June 9th at 3:00 pm, Vance County Schools hosted an in-person Partnership Recognition ceremony at the Atrium, located at the Center for Innovation. The ceremony honored the unique partnerships between community organizations and our schools.

  • Raymond Noel Announced as the Vance County High School Athletic Director

    Vance County Schools welcomes Raymond Noel, a lifelong resident of the area, as the Athletic Director for Vance County High School. Noel graduated from JF Webb High School in 2002, where he played football and ran track and field.  He continued his education at Averett University, where he played football and served as a student assistant for their basketball program. In 2007, Noel graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and a minor in coaching.
