Arts Alive

Arts Alive 2026 will be our 10th showcase and gallery!  What is Arts Alive?

Arts Alive is a talent showcase for the arts for Vance County Schools students.  It is not a competition and there are no awards given.  This is a chance to showcase the incredible talent in our school district. There is a showcase performance and an art gallery .   All performances and artwork are done by students in our district.  You will find details in our Frequently Asked Questions document , which will be updated and added in September.   And the best part of all of this…there is no cost for any of it!!!

SPECIFIC DATES

  • October 1-31 - Art contest - T-shirt, button, and artist badge design  
  • November-January - Interested performers should be contacting music/art teachers and selecting music
  • Week of February 24 - final chance to request an audition
  • Audition Week!!!  Week of March 2 at all school sites.  
  • March 26 - Final date to submit artwork 
  • TBA - Stage and Studio Nights at CFI - not required of performers (highly recommended)
  • April 7 and 9 - Tech Nights (McGregor Hall)  - all performers are required to attend and will be able to select a date and time.
  • April 24 - Dress Rehearsal at McGregor Hall - 6:00 - required of all performers
  • April 25 - Arts Alive, including the Heart of the Art Gallery (3:00) and Performance Showcase (5:00)
