Kim Meza

Hi, I'm Kim Meza, ESL/Title III/Migrant Director for Vance County Schools. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education and an ESL licensure from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I obtained my Master's Degree in Elementary Education at North Carolina Central University. I enjoy working with students who are second language learners. In my free time, I love traveling with my family, visiting Cherry Grove Beach and attending UNC football games. 

 

 

 

 Sherly Ortiz   Hello, my name is Sherly Ortiz, ESL Parent and Family Liaison for Vance County Schools. I am a proud graduate of Vance County Schools. I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Spanish. I began my career with Vance County Schools as a Kindergarten teacher at Aycock Elementary. I also enjoyed teaching 3rd grade at Aycock. In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends and family. I especially enjoy going to concerts and watching movies! I am excited to transition into a role in which I will continue to enrich and support the educational journey of the future of Vance County.

My name is Mr. Rincon, I am the ESL teacher at EM Rollings and Early College.  I did my B.A in foreign languages (English and French) at UPTC in Tunja, Col. I started my career as a kindergarten teacher assistant. I love teaching and I have taught for the past 8 years in Colombia.   *A little about me* I love going to the gym, hiking and camping.  I am not good at soccer.  I enjoy  hanging out with friends. I like to watch series on Netflix. I long to travel around the world. Ana DavilaMy name is Ana Davila and I am proud to be an ESL teacher at Vance
County Schools. I am from Barranquilla, Colombia. I received a
Bachelor’s degree in Preschool education from Universidad del
Atlantico. I learned English as a second language back in the 90’s in
Austin, TX. I’m really passionate about teaching the young. As an ESL teacher I help them to overcome their difficulties and reach higher goals, which is truly fulfilling. Personally, I am married and we have two great kids. They enjoy the experience here as well.

Liliana Soto

Hello! My name is Liliana Soto, I am from Barranquilla, Colombia and I am a cultural exchange teacher. I am the ESL teacher at  Aycock Elementary and The Vance Virtual Village School. I have been an English/Spanish language teacher since 2015 and I have taught at different educational grade levels since then. I completed my M.A in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Hola! Mi nombre es Liliana Soto,soy de Barranquilla, Colombia y soy profesora de intercambio cultural. Soy una maestra de ESL en la escuela primaria Aycock y  en la escuela virtual  de  Vance Virtual Village. He sido maestra de idiomas con énfasis en  Inglés/Español desde el 2015; y desde entonces he enseñado diferentes niveles educativos. Obtuve mi Maestría  en Enseñanza del Inglés como Lengua Extranjera. Es un placer para mí, poder trabajar con sus niños  y con ustedes. Hi, my name is Edna Celis, I am from Colombia, I am the ESL teacher at STEM, Advance Academy, V3 and  Carver. I am so glad to be part of the Vance County Schools. I completed a Master's Degree in English language teaching for self-directed learning. I also have a degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages.   I am married and have a handsome boy; I love reading and learning new things in my spare time. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to share my culture and teach your children.

Hello, I am Deris Mora. I am originally from Colombia, South America. I teach English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish as a Heritage Language at Vance County Middle School. I completed my Master’ Degree in Education (Specialty in ESL) at Meredith College.
