  • VMA Applications Available

    The Vance Medical Academy application process will be open from March 18 - April 22, 2019. The Vance Medical Academy is open to current 8th grade students and current 9th grade students who are interested in Health Science careers.

  • STEM Early High Information Sessions Are Scheduled

    The STEM Early High School will host information sessions for rising sixth graders to apply for enrollment in the school for the 2019-2020 school year on Wednesday, March 27, at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Current, fifth-grade students and their parents should attend one of these sessions. The information and application for enrollment is available at the links below:

  • Early College Applications for Grades 10-11 Available

    Applications for rising 10th and 11th-grade students to apply for enrollment at Vance County Early College High School are now available on the school's website homepage. The deadline for completed applications to be turned in to the school is April 8, 2019.

  • Arts Alive 2019 Set for April 27

    Get ready! Arts Alive 2019 is coming on Saturday, April 27. It's the best show all year at McGregor Hall, with hundreds of pieces of student art work on display and performances by at least 20 different groups of our students!! Tickets at $5 each will go on sale on April 27.

    Arts Alive Master Classes for Students Available; Sign Up Today! 

    Vance County Schools students may sign up to participate in special "master class" sessions at no cost during the morning of Saturday, April 27, as part of the school system's Arts Alive 2019 celebration and events at McGregor Hall and nearby facilities. Parents and students can click on the links below to learn more about the master classes and to register for participation.

    High School Commencement Exercises Scheduled in Spring    

    Commencement exercises for the Class of 2019 from our high schools are planned for this spring.

    They will be held: Thursday, May 23, at 6 p.m. for Early College High School in the Vance-Granville Community College Civic Center; Thursday, June 6, at 6 p.m. for AdVance Academy in McGregor Hall in downtown Henderson; and Saturday, June 8, at 9 a.m. for Vance County High School in the gymnasium at Vance County Middle School. 

  • Elementary Schools Hosting Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration

    All 10 of our elementary schools are hosting pre-kindergarten and kindergarten showcase events April 1-5, for registration for the 2019-2020 school year! There will be two sessions held at each school, one session in the morning and a second session in the afternoon/evening to accommodate parents' schedules.

  • Family Engagement on Demand (FEOD) 

    Family Engagement on Demand is an online platform that provides parents with the opportunity to gain skills and strategies to support their child's education through online learning videos in English and Spanish. 

    Using any mobile device, tablet, laptop or computer, a parent can watch streaming family outreach videos that will equip and empower them to take a more active role in their child's education.
