  • Vance County Schools: Leadership Changes for 2022-2023

    When students head back to class for the 2022-2023 school year, there will be several new faces welcoming them within the schools across Vance County Schools!  Dr. Cindy Bennett shared, “We are excited to provide opportunities for staff to demonstrate their leadership and overall knowledge. I look forward to great things from our new team members and our district will continue to support each of them in their new roles.” Vance County Schools is excited to announce the following new leadership changes

  • Vance County Schools Honors Partnerships

    On Thursday, June 9th at 3:00 pm, Vance County Schools hosted an in-person Partnership Recognition ceremony at the Atrium, located at the Center for Innovation. The ceremony honored the unique partnerships between community organizations and our schools.

  • Raymond Noel Announced as the Vance County High School Athletic Director

    Vance County Schools welcomes Raymond Noel, a lifelong resident of the area, as the Athletic Director for Vance County High School. Noel graduated from JF Webb High School in 2002, where he played football and ran track and field.  He continued his education at Averett University, where he played football and served as a student assistant for their basketball program. In 2007, Noel graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and a minor in coaching.

  • Aaron Elliott Announced as the Vance County High School Head Football Coach

    ance County Schools welcomes Jacob “Aaron” Elliott, a native of Vance County, as the Head Football Coach at Vance County High School. A graduate of Southern Vance High School, Elliott went on to attend Liberty University. He began his career in public safety, serving in both Emergency Medical Services and Fire Services.
