Outgoing Board Members Honored at December Board of Education Meeting

Re-Elected and New Board Members take Ceremonial Oath

Two Vance County Schools Board of Education members were recently re-elected to represent their districts: Mrs. Gloria J. White (District 1) and Mrs. Ruth M. Hartness (District 7). Mr. Randy Oxendine (District 2) and Mr. Omega Perry (District 6) also took their ceremonial oath of office. They took their Oath of Office at the December 12, 2022 Board of Education meeting before Judge Henry Banks.

Celebrating our December Graduates!

On Friday, December 9th, AdVance Academy held their December Commencement Ceremony in the Wayne Adcock Auditorium at 3:00pm. We would like to congratulate our December graduates and can't wait to see you excel in all of your future endeavors!

Vance County Schools Unveils New Visual Identity for All 16 Schools!

As the district developed their 3-year strategic plan, the visual identity was unveiled with a new logo for VCS. We are excited to showcase the visual identity for each of our schools, as we develop a consistent logo, mascot, color palette and font. Check out the video below!

Dismissal Update: Early Dismissal for Students on December 16th, 2022

We want to share with our families that we have a dismissal update for Friday, December 16, 2022. Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:30pm, secondary schools at 1pm and all offices will close at 3:30pm.

Celebrating our Arts Alive 2023 & Christmas Card Design Winners!

We are excited to announce our Arts Alive & Christmas Card design winners! Congratulations to Kia'Shanti Hargrove, Victoria Williams and Salt Hauter for winning the Arts Alive design competition. We would also like to congratulate Thuy Nguyen and Calleigh Reynolds for being the 2022 Christmas Card design winners.
