The Vance County Schools annual Opportunity Culture Fair was held during the afternoon of March 13, at the school system's Administrative Services Center.
The fair featured information booths manned by representatives of the district's schools which participate in the Opportunity Culture initiative, designed to provide intense professional development, new teaching strategies and innovative education positions to more effectively offer quality educational opprotunities to all students.
Dozens of educators from Vance County and several surrounding counties attended the fair seeking information about the Opportunity Culture positions available in the schools and more details on how the initative works.
Representatives were on hand from Aycock Elementary School, Clarke Elementary School, Dabney Elementary School, Pinkston Street Elementary School, E.M. Rollins Elementary School, L.B. Yancey Elementary School, E.O. Young, Jr. Elementary School, Zeb Vance Elementary School and STEM Early High School.
