Hundreds of sixth graders who will attend Vance County Middle School for the new school year and their parents attended orientation sessions at the school on July 31.
The sessions were held in the morning and in the evening for the convenience of the students and parents. The students and parents were able to attend the orientation sessions any time between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. and again from 3 to 7 p.m.
School administrators, counselors, office staff, teachers and athletic program administrators and coaches were on hand to share a wealth of information with the new middle school sixth graders about plans for the 2018-2019 school year.
