Principal Heddie Somerville and her staff at Vance County Middle School welcomed seventh and eighth-grade students and their parents to orientation sessions on August 9 for the 2018-2019 school year.

Students and parents came out to the school for either an orientation session in the morning or in the evening to receive valuable information about the upcoming school year, which begins on August 27.

School staff members were on hand to talk with them about academic expectations, special programs, student clubs, school bus transportation, counseling, athletics and more.
