Vance County Schools Announces Director of Elementary Education

Vance County Schools is excited to announce Chelsa Jennings as the new Director of Elementary Education. Jennings earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from North Carolina Central University. She completed her Ed.S. in Educational Leadership at East Carolina University and is currently working towards her Ed.D in Educational Leadership from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. 

Jennings began her education career in 1995 as an Instructional Assistant, later becoming an elementary teacher. Her experience continued as the Director of Testing and Accountability and Curriculum Facilitator, Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Chief Academic Officer.

We are excited to have Ms. Jennings join the Vance County Schools family. Jennings will begin her position at VCS on November 4, 2021.
