This is Dr. Crosson with our weekly updates. If you have a student in Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten, please make sure that you have their vaccinations and physicals are up to date. Please share health assessments and shot records with our nurse.
In order to keep communication open and maintain our connection between home and school, we will send progress reports home this week. These progress reports will demonstrate what your student knows and how they need to grow.
Tomorrow, Monday, September 20, all VCS students will receive a letter regarding optional COVID-19 screenings. In conjunction with the NC Department of Health and Human Services and Mako Medical, our district will provide testing at our schools each week. If you wish for your child to participate in this program, you will need to complete the registration information that comes home with your child. Weekly testing is one of the many layers of protection we have in place to keep our students and staff safe. To learn more about StrongSchools NC COVID-19 testing, you can visit www.MAKOstrongschools.com.
That's what's roaring at Pinkston this week. Have an awesome evening.
