A message from PINKSTON STREET ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Good Evening Parents,
This is Dr. Crosson with our weekly updates. As a reminder, Pinkston St. is an uniform school and students are expected to be in full uniform daily. Uniform bottom colors are khaki or navy blue. Uniform tops should have a collar and should be blue, black, or white. Please contact the school if you need assistance with uniforms.
The instructional day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. Please ensure that students are at school before 8:00 a.m. Please make sure that students are bringing their devices to school daily. If your child's device is damaged please send in the $50 repair fee and the damaged device. Devices are used daily and they are used to complete state assessments.
This week students in grades 3-5 will take their NC Check-Ins for Science, Math, and Reading. Monday, fifth grade students will take the science assessment. Tuesday, grades 3-5 will take the math assessment. Wednesday, grades 3-5 will take the reading assessment. Please ensure that your child brings a fully charged school issued computer on these days.
Join us as we observe Red Ribbon Week. Monday, unified we will stand against drugs, wear an orange shirt and uniform pants. Tuesday, team up against drugs, wear your favorite team shirt and uniform pants. Wednesday, give drugs the boot, wear your favorite boots and your entire uniform. Thursday, demonstrate that you are voting for your future to be drug free, wear red, white, and blue uniform bottoms. Friday, be a jean-ius and be drug free, wear jeans with your school uniform top.
