Pinkston Street Elementary has been approved by the Vance County School Board to require its students to wear uniforms. This makes the Uniform Policy a Vance County School Board Policy. Students who are not in uniform may be taken home in order to change into their uniform. New students have 2 weeks to purchase uniforms and to comply with the Uniform Policy. Students who consistently dress out of uniform may be sent home. Uniforms can be purchased at Family Dollar, Roses, Wal-Mart or Burlington Coat Factory (Capital Blvd.-Raleigh)
GIRLS -The uniform consists of white, black, or navy polo shirts and Khaki pants, navy pants, navy plaid pants, shorts, skirts, skorts or jumpers. Burgundy or navy sweaters may be worn in the winter. Jeans of any color and sweatpants are not allowed.No Black pants or leggings.
