Vance County Schools Recognizes Partnerships

Henderson, NC – On Thursday, June 9th at 3:00 pm, Vance County Schools hosted an in-person Partnership Recognition ceremony at the Atrium, located at the Center for Innovation. The ceremony honored the unique partnerships between community organizations and our schools. 

This ceremony celebrates the partnerships, listed below,

New Life Baptist Church, Carver Elementary 

Alternative Learning Center & Community Engagement, Inc, Clarke Elementary 

First United Methodist Church, Dabney Elementary

Clearview Baptist Church, E.M. Rollins STEAM Academy

Middleburg United Methodist Church, E.O. Young Elementary 

Henderson Optimist Club, L.B. Yancey Elementary 

Julie. A. Booth, New Hope Elementary 

First United Methodist Church, Pinkston Street Elementary 

Plank Chapel United Methodist Church, Zeb Vance Elementary  

TechTerra, STEM Early High School 

Fuerza Y Union Multiple Foundation, Vance County Early College High School 

T&T Laundry, Vance County High School 

Gang Free Inc., Vance County Middle School  

4 Point 0 Mobile Clinic, Inc., Vance Virtual Village (V3) Academy   

The District announced Gang Free Inc. as the 2021-2022 District Partnership of the Year. In addition to their continuous support of Vance County Middle School (VCMS) through providing basic necessities for students, students’ families and the community, they have collaborated with VCMS and the NC Food Bank to establish Vance County Middle School as a NC Food Bank Satellite. Students are able to make weekly trips through the food bank to take home what their families may need. Community members have access to the food bank as well. 

Our community partnerships support and enhance learning outcomes for our students. Thank you to all of the organizations that support Vance County Schools!
