School Board Approves Three-Year Strategic Plan, Unveils New Logo
On August 8th, the Vance County Schools’ Board of Education Approved the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan. Superintendent Dr. Cindy Bennett shared the plan with the board, which includes a revised vision and mission statement and key pillars. Additionally, it also includes an updated version of the Profile of a Graduate, the Profile of a Teacher and the Profile of a Leader.
Vance County Schools’ Vision Statement: Vance County Schools provides an adaptable educational setting where learning is a catalyst to the pursuit of dreams in an evolving society.
Vance County Schools’ Mission Statement: Vance County Schools is committed to providing broad experiences and opportunities to stakeholders that enable them to compete globally.

Vance County Schools has also taken the next step in its ongoing effort to create a unified district brand. The district has unveiled its new logo, which showcases a fresh color scheme for the district. The new logo represents the pathway options that students may choose as the letters V, C and S can all be traced in the image. Additionally, the color gradient represents the personalized education and pathways available to our students as individually unique. The new logo was officially released August 1.
