Class Night Honors ECHS Seniors

The 33 seniors in the Class of 2019 at Vance County Early College High School enjoyed celebrating their many achievements during their high school careers as part of their Class Night on May 16.

 

Principal Travis Taylor led the celebration and the recognition for the graduating seniors.

 

The Class Night celebration was held in the Civic Center on the campus of Vance-Granville Community College.

 

Matthew Denton and Kamiyah Wiggins served as master and mistress of ceremony, respectively. Fellow senior Tim Jiang welcomed everyone to the event and Jessica Grissom, also a member of the Class of 2019, led the recognition of honored guests. Khalil Gay led the recognition of the Student Council and fellow senior Jadakiss Wilson presented the class superlatives. The Class Slide Show was introduced by Khalil Gay and seniors Maya Hawkins and Kamiyah Wiggins sang the farewell song.

 

College scholarships totaling over $2 million were presented to members of the graduating class to further their education at four-year colleges and universities.

 

Members of the Class of 2019 at Early College High include: Marcus Baggett, Amber Cotton, Emily Dement, Matthew Denton, Damien Faulkner, Khalil Gay, Jessica Grissom, Zurisadai Guzman Vasquez, Kaithlyn Harris, Maya Hawkins, Anthony Henderson, Henry Huynh, Tim Jiang, Alondra Lopez Mitchell, Ariel Noel, Ashley Pendergrass, Joseph Penny, Joel Renteria, Jr., Nashanti Richardson, Ethan Roberson, Jarrett Seaman, Amaya Sneed, Joniyah Teasley, Charles Thompson III, Gracey Vaught, Alexis Watson, Kamiyah Wiggins, Corey Williams, Jr., Jamad Williams, Kianna Willis, Jadakiss Wilson and Al-Leain Young.
