Students from our schools came to the school system's Administrative Services Center in the days prior to the Christmas break to provide special holiday music for employees, visitors and special guests during "Sounds of the Season" performances.

The performances featured students from kindergarten through eighth grade as their music teachers led them in performing such classics as "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas," "Let It Snow Let It Snow" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." There were even more holiday tunes shared by the students and their teachers with many songs accompanied by students ringing bells, playing drums and recorders. The music teachers also played electric keyboards to accompany the students in several performances. Some of the students even danced.

The students performing included those in the choruses at Aycock Elementary School, New Hope Elementary School, L.B. Yancey Elementary School, STEM Early High School, Carver Elementary School, E.O. Young, Jr. Elementary School, E.M. Rollins Elementary School, Pinkston Street Elementary School, Clarke Elementary School and Dabney Elementary School.

Those in the audience at each of the performances were delighted with the great singing and instrument playing. They really enjoyed the students sharing their talents and their good holiday wishes with everyone.
